2025-26 Forecasting  

Incoming 6th Graders


WELCOME TO SHAHALA MIDDLE SCHOOL, 5th GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS!

We are excited about the 2025-26 school year and hope you are too!


We want to inform you of Shahala’s forecasting process for 2025-26. All middle school forecasting will be completed through a Google form in your student’s current 5th grade class. A PDF of the form, along with a link to the course catalog, is provided below for your review. Core classes (math, science, ELA, and social studies) will automatically be added to your student’s schedule. Students will forecast for their elective classes.  If you or your student have any questions about classes or the forecasting process, please utilize our online resources (links below), or email your counselor. Counselors are listed by caseload below.

EAGLES, IT’S TIME TO FORECAST FOR 8th GRADE CLASSES

We are excited to help students and families prepare for another great year at Shahala!


Shahala Students & families, 


We want to inform you of Shahala’s forecasting process for 2025-26. All middle school forecasting will be completed through a Google form located on your student’s science class Canvas page. A PDF of the form, along with a link to the course catalog, is provided below for your review.  Counselors will be visiting science classes on 2/14 to answer questions and assist students who need help completing the forecasting process. If you or your student have any questions about classes or the forecasting process, please utilize our online resources via the links below, or email your counselor. Counselors are listed by caseload below.  


Math

Math choices include an Algebra option for 8th grade. Please review the spreadsheet in the link for details. Algebra is a High School level course and students will receive HS credit if successfully completed. Regular 8th grade math is offered too. If you have any questions about your students' math path, please reach out to their math teacher. You can review the  8th grade math options here. 

Science

8th grade students have a choice for their science class, 8th grade science or environmental science, which is more advanced and worth High School credit.. The link below will give you a synopsis of the curriculum. They also may choose environmental science You can review the Science Curriculum here.
