A note from your registrar:
Hello Shahala families,
As we wrap up the 2024-25 school year and look ahead to the 2025-26 school year, please consider the following housekeeping items.
1. SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Shahala summer office hours are 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Friday June 13 through Wednesday, June 18. We re-open to the public with the same hours on Monday, August 11. If necessary, please reach out to the district office during the time schools are closed.
2. MOVING WITHIN DISTRICT? If your family is moving, but staying within the district, you must provide us with a Verification of Residency – see the attached form. You may bring these documents to the Shahala main office or email a copy to Registration_Shahala@evergreenps.org
3. MOVING OUT OF DISTRICT? If your family is moving to another city or state over the summer and you do NOT plan to return to our district next year, please let us know so we can withdraw your student. You may email Registration_Shahala@evergreenps.org with your student’s name and where your family is relocating.
4. INCOMING 7th Grade STUDENTS are REQUIRED to have a Tdap (tetanus) booster before attending school (which can be administered age 10 and above). Please email either Registration_Shahala@evergreenps.org or Shahala nurse Pari.Tabari@evergreenps.org with your updated immunization records or exemption record. Or, bring a paper copy to Shahala front office during summer office hours.
· Per Washington State Law, students are not allowed to attend school until they are compliant with immunization requirements. Students who arrive at school on the first day will be sent home until records are provided. You will receive an exclusion letter in July if your student is missing this required vaccination.
5. HEALTH CONDITIONS? If your child has existing health conditions like asthma, life-threatening allergies, seizures, diabetes, or medications they must take or have on hand at school (inhaler, epi pen, etc.), you must renew your school medical forms each year. Please reach out to nurse Pari.Tabari@evergreenps.org or Registration_Shahala@evergreenps.org for forms or questions. You may have already received notification reminders, so please check your email inbox or junk folders.
6. STUDENT SCHEDULES: Will NOT be finalized until mid-late August. Please be patient as schools make adjustments throughout June and August.
Thank you,
Shahala Registration
